Training the Next Generation of Stockpile Stewards

DOE/NNSA Fellowship Programs

The Academic Programs (AP) also includes the Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (SSGF) Program, Laboratory Residency Graduate Fellowship (LRGF), and Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) Program (jointly sponsored with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Science). These three programs support PhD students in areas of interest to stockpile stewardship. SSGF and CSGF provide a yearly stipend, tuition fees, lab practicums, and an academic allowance. The LRGF extends that to at least two longer practicums and encourages fellows to pursue their thesis research in collaboration with lab scientists. This Annual highlights alumni and students from the each fellowship.
